Ghana and Nigeria to clash in African Games women's football finals

In a riveting display of skill and determination, hosts Ghana and arch-rivals clinched triumphs in the women's football semifinals at the 13th edition of the on Monday, setting the stage for an eagerly anticipated showdown in Thursday's final.

Although pulled a goal back through Kande in the 53rd minute, Ghana maintained control, with Amponsah securing her brace in the 55th minute to seal the win.

In the other semifinal, squared off against in a tightly contested encounter. After a deadlock for much of the match, Nigeria broke through with goals from Judith Adaobi Okah in the 74th minute and Chiamaka Okuchukwu in the 89th minute, clinching a 2-0 victory.
