Mampong, Ghana – Former Communication Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region, Mr Dennis Kwakwa, has declared his intention to contest the Mampong Constituency seat in 2025.
Promising to change the narrative of youth unemployment in the constituency, Kwakwa aims to provide hope and development for the young population.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Kwakwa expressed concern over the lack of proper development in the constituency, despite it being a stronghold of the ruling party.
He highlighted the challenges faced by the youth, stating, “The youth of Mampong are increasingly becoming desperate and despondent because there are no jobs for them to do, and but for God, they would have been wayward.”
Determined to address these issues, Kwakwa emphasized his commitment to leading the constituency towards progress, particularly in the realm of youth employment.
He pledged to leverage his experience and connections to lobby for development projects that would create job opportunities for the youth.
“By God's grace, I have served the NPP very well, and I used my positions as Youth Organizer at Mampong and Director of Communications for Ashanti very well,” Kwakwa stated, expressing confidence in gaining support to fulfil his vision for the Mampong Constituency when he secures the NPP primary.
