Daniel Freeman Ame, the official voice coach for Afua Asantewaa's attempt for the longest singing marathon, has provided insights into his experience during the event.

Freeman, known for coaching top artists like Efya, Adina, and KiDi, volunteered his expertise to support Asantewaa in her historic endeavor.

Expressing his initial confidence, Freeman shared, “When we had done the simulations and she came back, and she had stuck to the program, it was cool, nobody heard her voice lost.” However, he acknowledged that the initial excitement of the audience might have contributed to Asantewaa losing her voice unexpectedly.

He praised Asantewaa's resilience, noting, “It was when she lost her voice, that was the scariest moment. She was scared, we were scared, her family was scared, everybody was confused at a point.”

Afua Asantewaa successfully concluded her attempt for the longest individual singing marathon on Friday, December 29, 2023. She endured a five-day singing marathon, surpassing the 105-hour record set in 2012. At the conclusion, she had sung for an impressive five days, six hours, and 55 minutes.

In response to her achievement, Afua expressed gratitude to supporters, stating, “On behalf of my family, team, volunteers, the media, and , I would like to say thank you to everyone who participated in this attempt; it has been a smooth journey and a very successful one.”

Afua Asantewaa has submitted the entire record attempt to Guinness World Records for assessment. Results are pending.
