Accra Hearts of Oak and Dreams FC played to a goalless draw in a week-four encounter of the betPawa Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The Phobians, still reeling from their previous defeat to Bofoakwa Tano, struggled to regain their winning form and have now accumulated four points from a possible 12 in the league.
Hearts started the game aggressively, with Ramos Kashala making an early attempt, but his bicycle kick was easily collected by Dreams' goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi.
The match was played at a brisk pace and remained tightly contested, with both teams engaging in robust tackles, providing an exciting spectacle for the stadium's spectators.
Dreams FC found success in their counterattacks, particularly through veteran striker John Antwi, who posed a significant threat to the Hearts of Oak defense.
Despite several half-chances in the first half, neither team managed to break the deadlock.
The second half began with the same intensity as the first, with John Antwi coming close to scoring for Dreams FC, but his close-range effort missed the target.
Dreams FC continued to apply pressure and create opportunities, but Hearts' goalkeeper Richmond Ayi made crucial saves to keep the game level.
Hearts regained control of the match midway through the second half with the introduction of Salifu Ibrahim, Enoch Asubonteng, and Hamza Issah. Asubonteng nearly put Hearts ahead with a spectacular 30-yard strike, but goalkeeper Agbasi pulled off an exceptional save to maintain the goalless scoreline.
Despite a late surge from Hearts of Oak, Dreams FC displayed strong defensive resilience, and the match ended in a well-fought draw.
