Speaking after the exercise, Professor Judith A. Anaman, Dean of Students, praised the athletes for their energy, determination, and discipline, describing their performance as a reflection of UHAS’s commitment to holistic education.
“We are proud of your determination and teamwork. Management will continue to provide the needed support to help you excel at this year’s GUSA Games,”
Prof. Anaman stated.
The selected athletes have since begun residential camping to undergo intensive training and tactical preparation ahead of the national competition. Coaches are focusing on endurance, coordination, and team strategy to ensure top performance at the games.
According to the Sports Unit, the justify-your-inclusion exercise forms part of UHAS’s broader effort to boost its sporting competitiveness while promoting inclusivity and student participation in athletics.
In recent years, UHAS has gained recognition for its impressive performances in cross-country and team sports, reflecting steady progress in university-level athletics. The institution continues to invest in sporting infrastructure and training systems to sustain its growth.
As the 2025 GUSA Games approach, UHAS athletes remain confident and united, determined to make a strong impact while upholding the university’s values of discipline, excellence, and teamwork.
