The Deputy Minister for Health, Prof. Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, has concluded the first day of her Greater Accra Regional tour under the Maternal Mortality Action and Response Programme (MMARP) with working visits to the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (GARH-Ridge) and the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

During the engagements, Prof. Ayensu-Danquah met with hospital management, interacted with expectant mothers and held discussions with frontline health professionals to gain first-hand insight into challenges affecting maternal healthcare delivery.

The discussions focused on emergency obstetric care, referral systems, infrastructure and other factors influencing maternal and newborn health outcomes.
