Gyan, affectionately nicknamed “Baby Jet,” is Ghana’s all-time leading scorer, having netted 51 goals in 109 international appearances.

He also holds the record as Africa‘s top scorer in FIFA World Cup history, with six goals across three tournaments – Germany 2006, South Africa 2010, and Brazil 2014.

His club career spanned multiple continents, including stints at Udinese (Italy), Rennes (France), Sunderland (England), Al Ain and Al Ahli (UAE), Shanghai SIPG (China), and Kayserispor (Turkey).

He concluded his professional journey at Legon Cities in Ghana, leaving behind a legacy as one of Africa’s most celebrated footballers.

The upcoming testimonial match is expected to attract fans, former teammates, and football enthusiasts for a memorable farewell honouring Gyan’s remarkable achievements and enduring impact on the sport.
