They are also expected to foster collaborations with national and international partners, identify and groom emerging talents, and enhance grassroots participation to build a strong foundation for the sport in the Ashanti Region.
In his acceptance remarks, Mr. Kwabena Osei Tutu expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to drive growth and excellence in the sport.
“I am honored to lead the Ashanti Region Armwrestling team and contribute to the development of this exciting sport. With the support of our athletes, coaches, and stakeholders, I am confident that we will achieve great things, produce global champions, and bring glory to our region,” he said.
The newly formed team is expected to roll out key initiatives in the coming days, including a training-of-trainers program and school competitions to unearth new talents and kick-start a comprehensive development program for armwrestling in the region.
