The Confederation of African Football () has unveiled the 55-man provisional squad list for all 24 nations participating in next month's Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire.

Among the squads revealed is the list submitted by head coach , featuring a mix of experienced returnees and emerging talents.

Headlining the Ghanaian squad are notable returnees such as Baba Abdul Rahman, Bernard Tekpetey, Benjamin Tetteh, Andy Yiadom, and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, among others.

The inclusion of home-based players Abdul Fatawu Hamidu and Jonathan Sowah further adds depth to the roster.

The squad also features promising talents like Derrick Fordjour, Razak Simpson, George Atuahene, Felix Kyei, Benjamin Asare, Emmanuel Antwi, and John Antwi.

Speaking about the provisional squad, Coach Hughton expressed confidence in the selection, emphasizing the blend of experience and youthful vigour.

He stated, “We believe this squad represents the right mix of talent, experience, and hunger for success. Our goal is clear – to bring the Africa Cup of Nations trophy back to Ghana after four decades.”

has set a deadline of January 3, 2024, for all participating nations to finalize their 23-man squads for the tournament.

The are set to commence their pre-tournament camp next week, with the final squad announcement expected to follow.
