President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has made significant ministerial appointments to strengthen key positions in the government.
The appointments come in response to the acceptance of the resignation letter from the former Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Hon. Cecilia Abena Dapaah, dated Saturday, 22nd July 2023.
Hon. Freda Prempeh, the Minister of State at the Presidency and Member of Parliament for Tano North has been appointed as the new Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, succeeding Hon. Cecilia Abena Dapaah.
Additionally, in consultation with the Ministers for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and Roads and Highways, respectively, President Akufo-Addo appointed two new Deputy Ministers. Hon. Mavis Nkansah Boadu, the Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways and Member of Parliament for Afigya Sekyere East has been appointed as the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.
Meanwhile, Hon. Thomas Mbomba, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and Member of Parliament for Tatale/Sanguli has been appointed as the Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways.
The appointments are effective immediately, and the newly appointed ministers and deputies are expected to assume their respective roles promptly, contributing to the government’s commitment to efficient governance and development for the nation.
