Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim– MP for Kumawu

Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim is the Member of Parliament for Kumawu in the Ashanti Region, representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Born on Thursday, 31st January 1985, and a native of Kumawu-Bodomase, Hon. Anim is a Christian and a returning member of the 8th Parliament.

He holds a Master of Financial Economics from Ohio University (2016), a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Cape Coast (2009), and a Certificate in Statistics from the University of Ghana. He is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a testament to his strong grounding in finance and accounting.

Professionally, Hon. Anim has held senior roles in both international and local institutions, including serving as Payment & Tax Specialist at Cardno Emerging Markets, Manager of Public Financial Management at DT Global Inc, and an Accountant at Vanguard Properties. Earlier, he worked with the Millennium Development Authority as an Accounts Officer.

In Parliament, he currently chairs the Human Rights Committee and is a member of both the Independent Constitutional Bodies Committee and the Public Accounts Committee, where his financial and governance expertise is a valuable asset to legislative oversight and advocacy.
