The Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Mr. Malik Basintale, has officially resumed work at his office today, amid rumours that he had suffered a stroke.

Speculation about Mr. Basintale’s health surfaced after the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Abronye DC, claimed that the YEA CEO was unwell and receiving medical treatment abroad. The claims were made on Friday, November 14, 2025.

Speaking on The Evidence Show aired on Ohia TV via Facebook, Abronye DC stated that Mr. Basintale had not been feeling well for about a month and had been flown to the United Kingdom for treatment.

Despite the rumours, Mr. Basintale returned to office today and officially began work. He also engaged staff of the Agency on priorities for the year, signaling his return to active duty at the YEA.

His appearance at work comes amid continued public discussion surrounding the earlier claims about his health status.
