PROFILE:Hon. Eric Opoku

Hon. Eric Opoku is the Member of Parliament for Asunafo South, representing the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He hails from Sankore and was born on Friday, 5th June 1970. A devout Christian, he has served in Ghana’s Parliament across four terms — the 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Parliaments — contributing significantly to legislative governance over the years.

He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Essex, completed in March 2023, enhancing his legal and policy-making credentials. His public service track record includes roles as Minister of State and Deputy Minister under the Government of Ghana.
