
Hon. Damata Ama Appianimaa Salam is the Member of Parliament for Afigya Kwabre South, representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Born on Saturday, 26th March 1977, she hails from Kenyasi-Brofoyedru and is a practicing Muslim. She is currently serving her first term in Parliament.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from the University for Development Studies, completed in 2008, and a Master of Science in Strategic Management and Leadership from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, awarded in 2021.

Before entering Parliament, Hon. Salam worked with the Ghana Education Service as a Deputy Director and Head Teacher. In Parliament, she serves on the Youth and Sports Committee as well as the Budget Committee.
