PROFILE: Hon. Asare Kwame Obeng

Hon. Asare Kwame Obeng is the Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, elected as an Independent candidate. He was born on Sunday, 6th March 1977 and hails from Gomoa Asebu.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), completed in 2022, and a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the same institution, earned in 2023. He also pursued Legal Studies and is expected to complete his LLB at KAAF University in 2024. In 2019, he undertook training in Negotiation Skills at the University of Ghana Business School.

Before entering Parliament, Hon. Obeng was the Chief Executive Officer of A Plus Builders Market, a role that sharpened his leadership and entrepreneurial expertise.

In Parliament, he serves as a member of the Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Committee, as well as the Committee on Private Member’s Bills and Private Member’s Motions.
