In a remarkable display of determination, two nursing mothers and a pregnant student are among the candidates participating in this year's Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at the KpareKpare Centre in the Krachi East Municipality.
These students, who hail from Kpelema Junior High and Chamba Junior High, have demonstrated commendable courage in returning to school for the crucial exam, according to Mr Seth Kuma, the Centre Supervisor.
He praised both candidates and invigilators for contributing to a smooth and peaceful examination environment.
The KpareKpare Centre hosts a total of 234 candidates, with 89 females and 145 males, who are sitting for the English paper.
Madam Georgina Mensah, the Municipal Director of Education, mentioned that babysitters were assisting nursing mothers in caring for their babies during the examination.
She also called upon communities to offer support and encouragement to pregnant teenagers and nursing mothers taking part in the BECE, emphasizing the importance of showing them love and ensuring they successfully complete the examination.
