Nyankyerenease Community receives new kindergarten block to promote early childhood education

The Nyankyerenease Community, situated in the Kwadaso Municipality of the , has unveiled a new two-unit kindergarten block, marking a significant step forward in promoting early childhood education.

This establishment boasts an array of facilities, including an office for the headteacher, a kitchen, a storeroom, washrooms, a changing room, and a protective fence.

Mr. Simon Osei-Mensah, the Ashanti Regional Minister, presided over the official commissioning of the kindergarten block.

Recognizing the profound importance of nurturing Ghanaian children's educational foundation, Osei-Mensah stressed that infrastructure, , and educational materials were pivotal in cultivating quality human capital for the municipality and the nation at large.

He asserted, “The development of a nation rests on a strong early childhood education made available to all children.”

The minister also urged parents to take an active role in their children's education, underscoring their status as the future leaders of the nation.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Professor Kingsley Nyarko, the Member of (MP) for Kwadaso, and Mr. Richmond Agyenim Boateng, the Municipal Chief Executive.

The kindergarten block was funded by the and constructed by Nana Banahene Company, a local contractor in the municipality.

Professor Nyarko, who spearheaded the project, emphasized the importance of building a solid educational foundation for children at the kindergarten level, which would prepare them effectively for subsequent phases of education.

He emphasized that education is pivotal to a nation's development and praised the government's commitment to prioritizing education, starting from the foundational level.

Mr. Agyenim Boateng, the Kwadaso MCE, lauded Prof. Nyarko for his contributions to shaping the formative years of local children and called on the community to maintain him as their MP, allowing him to continue his positive work.

Mrs. Grace Ofosu Boateng, the Municipal Education Director, expressed her gratitude to the MP and MCE for their ongoing support in enhancing education and pledged the proper maintenance of the newly constructed building to ensure its durability.
