The incumbent member of parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George, says he is confident of a resounding victory in his re-election bid in the ongoing NDC primaries.
In an interview with JoyNews, Sam George expressed his confidence, saying, “Resounding victory. This is going to be one of the best elections I've had.”
The MP is facing competition from Michael Kwettey, a businessman and former constituency chairman.
Sam George is known for his advocacy for the anti-LGBT bill currently in parliament and sees himself as a defender of Ghanaian culture and values.
He said, “I am fighting for the protection of our culture, our values and to make sure that our children are protected and that is what I represent.”
According to him, the other side, referring to his opponent, cannot speak to these matters as “their hands are tainted.”
He added, “They are in bed with all manner of people. Like I said, Saturday will be a clear testament to everybody in this country that the forces of light will prevail over the forces of darkness.”
