KMA’s plan to restrict aboboya, pragyia in the central business district postponed

The transport sub-committee of the Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has put forth a proposal to restrict the operation of Aboboya and Pragya (tricycles) in the prime areas of 's central business district.

The aim of this new measure is to address congestion in the central business district, according to Afia Konadu, the Public Relations Officer of the KMA.

In an on Kessben FM, Konadu confirmed that the proposal has been accepted by the General Assembly of the KMA.

Initially, the restriction was set to be implemented on June 15, 2023. However, the implementation has been postponed due to additional engagements that need to be addressed.

Konadu highlighted that after conducting necessary consultations with stakeholders, an official announcement regarding the restriction will be made.
