Mr. Derrick Djamgbah, the Founder of Puma FC, has expressed disappointment over the club's failure to qualify for the Regional Division Two League, considering it a setback.

In an with the Ghana Agency Regional Sports Desk, Djamgbah explained the club's efforts to progress after placing second on the league table last year. Their goal was to win the league this season and secure a Division Two qualification.

Djamgbah cited challenges such as injuries to key players and changes in venue, which affected the team's plans and cohesion. The shift from Adjei Kojo to Sakasaka Park led to the loss of valuable points.

Despite these setbacks, he praised the team's character, passion, and commitment during the season. Djamgbah encouraged the players not to be disheartened but to regroup, rest, and prepare for the upcoming season, aiming to return stronger and achieve their goals.

He utilized the opportunity to call for the construction of a modern astroturf in Adjei Kojo and appealed to corporate entities in West to support local football as part of their social corporate responsibility.

“The clubs are suffering financially as long as football is concerned,” he emphasized.
