In a notable display of support, Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia has taken to his Facebook page to wish Afua Asantewaa O Aduonum success as she embarks on a mission to break the sing-a-thon record set by Indian singer Sunil Waghmare.
Afua Asantewaa's passion and talent have garnered the Vice President's endorsement, expressing confidence that she will make history.

Afua Asantewaa Aduonum's ambitious goal is to surpass the longest singing marathon by an individual, a record currently held by Indian Sunil Waghmare, who sang for an impressive 105 hours from March 3 to March 7, 2012.
The singathon commenced at midnight on Sunday, December 24, and will continue nonstop until December 27, 2023. Aduonum initiated the historic event with OSIBISA's ‘WOYAYA' and followed it with two gospel songs.
After an uninterrupted 4-hour performance, she took a brief 20-minute break to change her costume and resumed singing. Notably, she will exclusively perform Ghanaian songs throughout the record-breaking attempt.
As of now, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum has completed an impressive 24 hours of non-stop singing.
In expressing her motivation for this extraordinary feat, she stated, “this is a fine opportunity to sell amazing Ghanaian music to the world.”
