Dr. , Ghana's Minister of Education, emphasized the transformative potential of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics () education in Ghana, stating that it is a catalyst for building competent, creative, and skillful human resources crucial for the country's development.

Speaking as a guest speaker at the 17th graduation ceremony of Regent University College of Science and Technology in , Dr. Adutwum addressed the importance of in navigating the fourth industrial revolution, where scientific innovations and technology play a central role.

“I believe the best years of our country lie in front of us and not behind us. And the future is STEM education.

It is through STEM that Ghana can actively be successful in this fourth industrial revolution where scientific innovations and technology rule,” said Dr. Adutwum.

The graduation ceremony celebrated the achievement of 233 students, including 117 undergraduates and 36 postgraduates, from various faculties such as the School of Business, Leadership and Legal Studies, Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Allied Science, and Faculty of Arts and Sciences.

Dr. Adutwum highlighted the government's commitment to transforming the education system, shifting from rote learning to one that encourages creativity and innovation to meet the demands of the rapidly advancing technological landscape.

Encouraging graduates to remain open to learning and explore their potential, the Minister emphasized the importance of adaptability in the face of technological advancement.

The Founder and Chancellor of Regent University, Reverend Professor Emmanuel Kingsley Larbi, urged graduates to apply their acquired knowledge for the benefit of their communities.

While presenting cash prizes and certificates to the best-graduating students from various faculties, Mr. Jonas Nii Armah Ababio from the Faculty of Engineering was honored as the overall best-graduating student, receiving a cash prize and a plaque from the Ghana Institute of Engineering.
