During the tour, the students observed live parliamentary proceedings in the Chamber, where they witnessed Members of Parliament engage in debates characterized by orderliness, respect, and clarity.
The experience offered the students a vivid demonstration of how laws are discussed and national issues addressed through structured democratic dialogue.
The delegation was warmly received by several Members of Parliament, including the MP for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa, Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah; the MP for Afadjato South, Frank Afriyie; the MP for Anlo, Richard Kwame Sefe; the MP for Yapei-Kusawgu and Minister for Energy, John Abdulai Abu Jinapor; and the Deputy Minister for Energy, Richard Gyan-Mensah.
Interacting with the legislators provided the students with a rare opportunity to engage directly with national leaders, ask questions, and gain deeper insight into the roles and responsibilities of elected representatives.
The engagement reinforced key lessons on leadership, public service, and active participation in democratic governance.
Parliamentary officials noted that such educational visits play a vital role in nurturing informed and responsible citizens by inspiring young people to appreciate democratic values and consider future involvement in public service.
