Government Spokesperson Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu has shared renderings of a proposed Multi-Tiered, Multi-Purpose Carpark and Airport Hotels Complex at the Accra International Airport.
According to the information shared, President John Mahama will return to the Accra International Airport on Thursday, 27th August, to cut sod for the new development.

The project will feature a seven-storey carpark with more than 2,000 parking bays, two hotels, and a pedestrian connector linking the complex to the airport terminal.
The development will also include a shopping mall with a food court, retail spaces and office spaces for rental, as well as a sky lounge for entertainment.
A sky observatory for viewing aircraft landings and take-offs is also planned as part of the complex.
The announcement highlighted President Mahama’s record of investments in major infrastructure, including Terminal 3 at the Accra International Airport, the MPS Terminal at the Tema Harbour, and the Tema to Mpakadan Rail Project, for which $400 million was secured.
