Mr Ernest Yaw Anim, Member of Parliament for Kumawu, has donated GHS 10,000 and 24 street bulbs to Sekyere Kusi Senior High School in his constituency to support school operations and enhance security on campus.

Speaking at the donation ceremony, Mr Anim explained that the contribution is part of a broader initiative to strengthen educational institutions across Kumawu.

He noted that the street lights would improve visibility at night, creating a safer environment for students and protecting school facilities from theft and vandalism.

Mr Anim also pledged to provide GHS 10,000 every quarter to support ongoing classroom block projects initiated by his late predecessor, Mr Philip Basoah.

“Continuing Mr Basoah’s legacy is not only a responsibility but a commitment to ensuring every child in Kumawu has access to an improved and conducive learning environment,” he said.

The school’s Headmaster, Obrempong Nkrumah Agyei II, expressed gratitude for the support, describing it as timely given the school’s efforts to expand its infrastructure to accommodate a growing student population.

He highlighted that the street lights would enhance security during evening preparatory sessions and appealed to the MP and other stakeholders for further assistance.

The Headmaster outlined urgent needs, including a boys’ dormitory, a pickup vehicle for administrative purposes, a dining hall, and other essential facilities to improve teaching quality, academic performance, and overall student welfare.
