The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the organization of a supplementary aptitude test for qualified teachers who applied for the 2025 promotion examination but were unable to participate due to circumstances beyond their control.

According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Unit of the Ghana Education Service (GES) on February 4, 2026, the supplementary aptitude test is aimed at giving affected candidates another opportunity to be considered for promotion and is scheduled for Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at exactly 9:00 a.m.

The statement was signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations at the Ghana Education Service.

GES has grouped examination centres into four zones across the country to ensure smooth administration of the test. Candidates from the Ahafo, Ashanti, Bono, and Bono East Regions will write the examination at the Wesley College of Education in Kumasi.

Those from the Central, Western, and Western North Regions will take the test at the NLT, University of Cape Coast (UCC), in Cape Coast.

Teachers from the Eastern, Greater Accra, Oti, and Volta Regions have been assigned to the Accra College of Education, while candidates from the North East, Northern, Savannah, Upper East, and Upper West Regions will write the examination at the Tamale College of Education in Tamale.

Management of the Ghana Education Service further indicated that index numbers for eligible candidates will be released directly to them via text message by Monday, February 9, 2026.

GES wished all candidates the best of luck in the examination and urged them to prepare adequately as they take advantage of this supplementary opportunity.
