The Ghana Army, in collaboration with the Navy and Air Force, has commenced its annual Counter Terrorism Field Training in northern Ghana, known as “Exercise Eagle Claws 2023.”
The exercise is set to run from Monday, December 4, to Thursday, December 7, covering the Northern, Upper East, Upper West, North East, and the Savannah regions.
Themed “Countering Violent Extremism and Terrorism for Sustainable Peace and Development,” the training aims to enhance the country’s preparedness and response capabilities.
The Office of the Director General of Public Relations, Ghana Armed Forces, issued a press statement urging the public not to panic and to cooperate for a smooth and successful exercise.
The statement reassured the public of the Armed Forces’ commitment and readiness to fulfill their mandate in safeguarding the safety and peace of the country and its citizens.
