Ghana Football Association finally apologizes for Black Stars' abysmal AFCON 2023 performance

The (GFA) has issued a formal apology to the people of Ghana and stakeholders following the underwhelming performance of the at the Africa Cup of Nations Cote d'Ivoire 2023.

In a statement released by the GFA, the association expressed an understanding of the disappointment and frustration caused by the team's recent results. The ' performance did not meet the high expectations shared by the passionate football-loving nation, and the GFA has taken full responsibility for the letdown.

The Executive Council of the Association and Chairmen of the Regional Football Associations (RFAs) held a meeting on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. In the aftermath of this meeting, the GFA assured stakeholders that necessary steps were being taken to address the issues at hand. A comprehensive review of the team's strategies, training programs, compensation structure, and overall organization is currently in progress.
