Winneba Anglican Archdeacon commiserate with government, bereaved families of helicopter crash victims

Ven. Fr. Aaron Moses Ato Kwamena Eduah, Archdeacon of Winneba Anglican Archdeaconry of the Diocese of Cape Coast has urged Ghanaians to let the passing of the eight gallant government officials who faithfully served the nation and have been called to eternal rest, be a call to pause, reflect, and realign their lives with divine purpose.
” Scripture reminds us that life is like a vapour (James 4:14) and our offices, as noble as they are on earth, are temporary entrusted to us to discharge our duties in the fear of God and for the good of humanity,” he stated.
The consolation message to the Government of Ghana is titled: “Blessed Are Those Who Mourn: A Call to Hope, Honour and Heavenly Perspective,” quoted in line with Matthew 5:4.
“We grieve not just as a nation, but as a spiritual body, we acknowledge that these departed leaders are eternal souls, made in the image of God as office holders.
“As a people, we must let this mourning lead the Presidency, Parliament, Judiciary and the entire nation renew their national conscience and to mourn not only the fallen, but also any moment when leadership failed its moral calling.”
“In the stillness of grief, we must ask ourselves, are we building legacies that echo in eternity, or monuments that crumble with time, do we rule with righteousness and integrity, knowing that every earthly action must one day pass through divine judgment, and are we using power as a sacred responsibility, or abusing it as personal privilege,” the Statement read.
“Let us as a Nation take to heart Hebrews 9:27; “it is appointed unto man once to die, and after that, judgment,” meaning that death was not the end and so the need to embrace Christ, in order to find comfort not in protocol, but in the resurrection promise, stated in Revelation 14 :13 that, “the departed who died in faith are not lost, but alive with Christ, where their labour follow them..
“We urge all who mourn without hope to seek Christ, the only one who turns the grave into glory, let mourning transform us, drive us from ambition to mission, inspire governance marked by truth, mercy, and justice and to compel us to serve with humility, knowing that positions fade, but legacies endure.”
Ven. Fr. Eduah said all must rise from the national grief with renewed moral clarity and to move forward with eyes fixed on eternity, while the legacy of the fallen heroes led all to deeper purpose and their memory kindle in all the fire of service, truth, and national renewal.
“May Ghana rise from grief into godliness, from sorrow into strength and may the Heavenly Father, the Eternal Judge and Sovereign King, receive these departed servants in eternal rest, comfort their families and the entire citizens of Ghana” he stated.
“May the Omnipotent God teach us to number our days and apply our hearts to wisdom in order that when our own day comes, we may be found faithful before Him, the statement concluded.
