The Simple Foundation has presented a package of relief items to the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) to bolster ongoing disaster response and support vulnerable communities across the country.
The donation included soccer balls, clothing, shoes, hospital supplies, and menstrual pads, forming part of the Foundation’s long-standing mission to assist families affected by emergencies.

According to Mr Osuman Issaka, Founder of the Simple Foundation, the gesture was informed by the organisation’s 15 years of humanitarian experience and a recent assessment of NADMO’s critical role in aiding families during and after disasters.
He said the contribution marked the beginning of a sustained partnership aimed at providing continuous support for Ghana’s disaster management efforts.
“This is not only a one-time thing; we are building a long-term partnership so that whenever its supplies for immediate disaster response or post-recovery support are in demand, we are here to assist,” Mr Issaka noted.
He stressed that the inclusion of menstrual hygiene products was intended to help young girls maintain consistent school attendance during their periods. He also commended NADMO for its commitment to disaster response and urged other organisations to complement its work to build more resilient communities.
Major (Rtd) Dr Joseph Bikanyi Kuyon, Director-General of NADMO, described the donation as emotional and inspiring, citing the founder’s personal journey and dedication to giving back.
He said such acts reflect a deep sense of responsibility to one’s roots and emphasised that a meaningful life is measured by the impact made on one’s community.
“No one is born into a community by mistake,” he said. “If you are born into a community, live your life, and leave without making a meaningful impact, then you have not only disappointed yourself but also disappointed God, who placed you there for a purpose.”
Major Dr Kuyon urged Ghanaians at home and abroad to emulate the Foundation’s example, noting that many people possess the means to support their communities but often lack the will.
He said the initiative demonstrates that impactful support is not about abundance but compassion, adding that even small contributions can transform lives when channelled effectively.
He encouraged the public to partner with NADMO to help address the needs of vulnerable individuals and communities, stating that “support, when given through the right channels, achieves the right results.”
