Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has unveiled new educational interventions aimed at expanding access and promoting inclusivity across the constituency.
He announced that a new Basic School is currently under construction to improve educational infrastructure and accommodate the growing number of pupils. In addition, scholarship support for Zongo communities has been increased by 40%, a move designed to enhance enrolment and retention rates among learners from marginalised backgrounds.

Mr Ablakwa made these remarks during a visit to Juapong by the National Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, describing the visit as a great honour and a blessing for the people of North Tongu.
Expressing deep appreciation for the Chief Imam’s prayers and moral guidance, the MP noted that the 106-year-old cleric’s presence served as a powerful source of inspiration for the community, reinforcing the constituency’s commitment to peace, unity, and education.
The Chief Imam’s visit formed part of his broader national outreach initiative aimed at strengthening interfaith harmony and encouraging the pursuit of knowledge among the youth.
