According to her, their commitment to the nation continues to inspire present and future generations to uphold the values of unity and national progress.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang acknowledged that Ghana’s path since independence has not been without difficulties. However, she emphasized that the resilience and determination of the Ghanaian people have repeatedly helped the nation overcome challenges and move forward.
She described Independence Day not only as a moment to celebrate the country’s history but also as an opportunity for citizens to reflect on their responsibilities toward national development.
The Vice President therefore urged Ghanaians to place the country above personal and partisan interests and work collectively to strengthen institutions and promote sustainable progress.
