Greater Accra Regional Fire Officer visits institutions to assess fire safety systems

The Greater Accra Regional Fire Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service, ACFO II Rashid K. Nisawu, has undertaken a familiarisation tour of selected institutions, including Sunda Ghana, West Hills Mall and Empire Cement, to assess their operations and fire safety systems.

During the visits, the Regional Fire Officer introduced the newly appointed Weija Municipal Fire Officer, DO I Judith Akokre, and stressed the need for stronger collaboration, improved fire safety measures and institutional support for the Fire Service.

He also encouraged joint training exercises, compatible firefighting equipment and intensified fire safety education to strengthen emergency preparedness.

Management of the institutions reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Fire Service and maintaining strong partnerships with the GNFS.
