The Ghana Prisons Service said its participation reflects its commitment to strengthening partnerships with the Judiciary and traditional authorities to support justice delivery, rehabilitation and offender reintegration.

According to the Service, the engagement also aligns with its Think Prisons 360° initiative, which focuses on improving the welfare of officers and inmates, expanding agricultural and industrial activities, promoting skills development and strengthening collaboration with key stakeholders.

The Service noted that such partnerships contribute to broader efforts to reform the correctional system, improve rehabilitation programmes and promote successful reintegration of inmates into society.

It reiterated its commitment to working with stakeholders to build a more humane, effective and forward-looking justice system while supporting national development through correctional reforms.
