According to the Police, motorists travelling towards Accra are being diverted through Kibi at Nsutam, while vehicles heading towards Kumasi are being diverted at Apedwa.
The Police urged road users to remain patient, cooperate with officers on duty and follow the designated diversion routes to ensure safety and the smooth flow of traffic.
Authorities are working to clear the obstruction and restore normal traffic as quickly as possible. The Police indicated that further updates will be provided once the road is fully reopened.
The Ghana Police Service also advised motorists to allow extra travel time, drive cautiously on alternative routes and avoid unauthorised shortcuts while the clearance operation continues.
