Pastor Dr Edward K. Tumsiah, National Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) Ghana, has announced the church‘s readiness to collaborate with the government to resume and complete some abandoned district hospital projects under the Agenda 111 programme.
The Agenda 111 initiative, launched during the administration of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, was designed to transform Ghana’s healthcare system through the construction of modern district hospitals across the country. Each facility was planned to occupy a 15-acre site at an estimated cost of about $17 million. However, many of the projects remain uncompleted and have been left to deteriorate.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Middle-Belt Zone of DCLM Ghana, which comprises the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo Regions, Pastor Dr Tumsiah said the church was ready to sign an agreement with the government to take over and complete some of the abandoned hospital projects as part of its contribution to national development.
He explained that DCLM Ghana, which will soon celebrate its 50th anniversary, has lined up several initiatives under its “Jubilee Projects,” including the construction of an ultra-modern hospital and a water factory. According to him, architectural drawings for these projects have already been completed, and preparations for construction are far advanced.
“So, if the government cannot complete the hospital projects, then they should release some of them for us to include in our jubilee project execution and complete them,” Pastor Dr Tumsiah stated.
He added that beyond spiritual growth, the church was focusing on economic empowerment and job creation. Plans are underway to establish a security company that will train and outsource personnel to various institutions.
The National Overseer also revealed that the church had established the Deeper Life Education Unit, aimed at positioning schools under the church among the best in Ghana. Many of these jubilee projects, he noted, are expected to be completed by 2029.
Earlier, Pastor Christopher Ayangbefia, Coordinating Regional Overseer for the Middle-Belt Zone, urged members of the church to contribute their support towards the successful implementation of the jubilee projects.
