The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Krachi East, Hon. Safo Ketia, has acknowledged that the municipality continues to face significant challenges with water supply.
He made the remarks when he led officials of the Municipal Assembly to appear before the Local Government and Rural Development Committee of Parliament, which is currently probing audit reports of Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) across the country.

Mr. Ketia outlined steps being taken to address the water crisis, noting that funds have been allocated to desilt gutters while the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) is being supported to educate communities along the river on sanitation issues.
To help alleviate the shortage, he disclosed that Health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandoh has promised to initiate the construction of 25 boreholes in the municipality.
