PROFILE: Hon. Akwasi Gyamfi Onyina-Acheampong

Hon. Akwasi Gyamfi Onyina-Acheampong is the Member of Parliament for Kwabre East, representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He was born on January 13, 1980, and hails from Abira in the Ashanti Region.

He obtained a Bachelor of Education in Psychology (First Class Honors) from the University of Cape Coast in July 2001. He also completed his GCE A’ Level at Kumasi High School in June 1996 and his GCE O’ Level at the same institution in June 1994.

Hon. Akwasi Gyamfi Onyina-Acheampong has held various positions in the private sector. He served as General Manager at Ecom Ghana (Kiteko Ghana Limited) and General Manager at Ecom Ghana (Unicom Commodities Ghana Limited – Cocoa and Unicom Specialties Company Limited – Cashew). He also worked at AgroEcom Ghana Limited as Acting Licensed Buying Company Head (Cocoa), Operations Manager, Area Manager, and District Manager. Additionally, he was a District Manager at Sompa Kokoo Company Limited.

His experience extends to the international sector, having worked at Caspian UK Camberly Limited as a Shift Manager, Supervisor, and Crew Member.
