Hon. Alhassan Tampuli Sulemana – MP for Gushegu Constituency

Hon. Alhassan Tampuli Sulemana is the Member of Parliament for the Gushegu Constituency, representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He hails from Zinindo and was born on Thursday, 27th May 1976. He is a Muslim and currently serves in the 8th Parliament of the Fourth Republic.

Hon. Tampuli is a lawyer and governance expert with a solid academic background. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Ohio State University, completed in May 2013. He also earned an LLB in May 2009, a Bachelor of Science in Administration in May 2005, and a Diploma in Public Administration in May 2002, all from the University of Ghana.

He completed his professional legal training at the Ghana School of Law and obtained his Qualifying Certificate in Law in June 2011. His secondary education was at Tamale Secondary School, where he completed his O Level in 1994.

Before entering Parliament, he served as Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority, where he played a key role in Ghana’s downstream petroleum regulation and policy implementation.

In Parliament, he is the Deputy Ranking Member on both the Constitutional and Legal Affairs Committee and the Roads and Transportation Committee. He also serves as a member of the Government Assurance Committee.
