Hon. Alhassan Mumuni – MP for Salaga North

Hon. Alhassan Mumuni is the Member of Parliament for Salaga North, elected on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He hails from Gbung and was born on Saturday, 23rd September 1967. A committed Muslim, he has served in both the 6th and 7th Parliaments of Ghana.

He holds a Master of Arts degree from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (2018), a Master of Education degree (2013) and a Bachelor of Education degree (2014) from the University of Education, Winneba. His earlier education includes a Teacher’s Certificate A from Tamale Teacher Training College (1998) and a Middle School Leaving Certificate from Kalpohini Middle School (1999).

Hon. Mumuni’s professional background is rooted in education and public administration. He worked as a Head Teacher, Circuit Supervisor, and Legal Desk Officer with the Ghana Education Service. He also served as District Chief Executive at the Office of the President, where he played a key role in local governance and development.

In Parliament, he is a member of the Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs Committee and the Assurance Committee.
