Residents of Dagomba Line, a suburb of the Asokore Mampong Municipality in the Ashanti region, are living in fear following the tragic discovery of the lifeless body of a three-year-old girl named Taslima Labaran.
Taslima went missing on Thursday, April 4, 2024, prompting a search by both police and her parents. After days of searching, her body was found in an uncompleted building by children playing football nearby.
The building, reportedly occupied by police officers, was undergoing refurbishment following a recent fire incident. Although initial speculation suggested the girl's tongue was missing, an official autopsy report confirmed it was intact.
Taslima's mother, Rukaya Muntari, is devastated by the loss of her daughter. The perpetrator of this heinous crime remains at large as police investigations continue.
The incident has left residents in shock and fear, as it is the first of its kind in the community. Nasara Ibrahim Muheeb, a resident, expressed unease over the situation, highlighting the rarity of such incidents in the area.
