A shocking incident has unfolded in Fetteh Kakraba, Gomoa East District of the Central Region, as a 22-year-old man, Bright Larcey, and his girlfriend Linda Asare, have been arrested by the Awutu Bereku District police for the alleged murder of their three-week-old baby.

According to reports gathered by the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Larcey purportedly arranged with his girlfriend to sacrifice their baby for money rituals, citing years of hardship as their motivation.

The tragic event unfolded on Monday evening, January 22, leading to the apprehension of the couple.

Larcey reportedly instructed Linda to leave the house, leaving the baby behind, when an unnamed friend visited.

Following the visit, Linda expressed regret for abandoning her baby and confided in a neighbor, though she did not disclose her involvement in the act.

A resident recounted to the media that Larcey's friend took the baby out, and Larcey followed suit.

However, Larcey's whereabouts remained unknown until his friend disclosed his location to the authorities.

It is alleged that Larcey confessed to killing the baby and hiding the body at an SDA school. Both suspects confessed to the crime upon police interrogation.

Larcey's friend was granted police inquiry bail following his disclosure. A source at the Awutu Bereku police station confirmed the incident, stating that investigations were ongoing.
