The United States has donated $4 million worth of military equipment to the Ghana Armed Forces to strengthen the country’s defence and security capabilities.
The donation includes protective gear, radar systems and training materials to enhance the operational capacity of the Ghana Army and Ghana Navy, particularly in surveillance, communication and maritime security.

In a statement, the United States said the support reflects its longstanding security partnership with Ghana and a shared commitment to addressing emerging security threats.
The US noted that the donation is aimed at improving regional stability, maritime security and the fight against transnational threats.
The assistance forms part of ongoing defence cooperation between Ghana and the United States to strengthen the readiness and effectiveness of the Ghana Armed Forces.
