The Black Stars of Ghana initiated their training sessions at the Charlotte FC training facility in preparation for the upcoming friendly matches against Mexico and the USA.
During the intense one-hour session, Head Coach Chris Hughton aimed to prepare his players for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers scheduled for November.
As of now, 19 players have arrived at the Black Stars camp, with the remaining players expected to join the team later.
The Ghana Football Association announced that Tariq Lamptey, Daniel Amartey, Alexander Djiku, and Osman Bukari had withdrawn from the friendlies due to injuries.
The training camp featured the following players: Richard Ofori, Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Alidu Seidu, Kingsley Schindler, Nicholas Opoku, Stephan Ambrosius, Gideon Mensah, Joseph Aidoo, Joseph Painstil, Salis Abdul Samed, and Antoine Semenyo.
Other players included Ernest Nuamah, Ransford Konigsdorffer, Jordan Ayew, Elisha Owusu, Inaki Williams, Edmund Addo, and Thomas Partey.
The first friendly match is against Mexico at the Bank of America Stadium on Saturday, October 14, 2023.
