Torgbui Adzonugaga Amenya Fiti V, the Paramount Chief and President of the Aflao Traditional Council has emphasized the significance of preserving African heritage and culture.
He urged everyone, especially the youth, to embrace and promote their rich cultural identity.
Torgbui Fiti highlighted that African culture is woven into various aspects of life, such as festivals, language, dressing, and cuisine. He encouraged the youth not to shy away from their identity but to take pride in it and ensure its preservation for future generations and Africans worldwide.
He expressed these sentiments during a visit from a delegation led by Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ketu South.
The visit was to congratulate Torgbui Fiti on his election as President of the Forum of Kings and Traditional Leaders of Africa, an umbrella organization representing traditional leaders from various African countries.
Torgbui Fiti thanked the delegation for their gesture and expressed his commitment to collaborating with fellow citizens for the advancement of Aflao, Ketu South, Ghana, and the entire African continent.
Madam Gomashie, the MP and former Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, praised Torgbui Fiti's leadership and dedication to the socio-economic development of the traditional area. She offered prayers for his reign to be marked with success.
Bright Kwaku Kumordzie, Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), lauded Torgbui Fiti's achievement, stating that it brought pride to Ketu South and Ghana as a whole.
