Blessed Home Ghana-Holland donates medical supplies to Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital: Ghana News

Dr. George Kwame Prah, Director of Trauma and Specialist Hospital in has expressed gratitude to Blessed Home Ghana-Holland for their generous support to the hospital through the donation of essential medical supplies and equipment.

The non-governmental organization, led by Mr. Michael Kojo Arhin, donated items such as wheelchairs, drip stands, foetal Doppler, stethoscopes, spurges, thermometers, and pulse oximeters.

In an with the (GNA), Dr. Prah highlighted the challenges faced by the hospital and acknowledged the assistance provided by various collaborators, friends, organizations, the Traditional Council, the -Charlottesville Sister City, Co-Operative Credit Union, and others.

Dr. Prah expressed his appreciation to all those who contributed to the hospital's well-being and extended gratitude to Blessed Home Ghana-Holland for their continuous support.

He emphasized the hospital's critical role as the last referral point for other healthcare facilities in the municipality and beyond, with a mission to provide quality, accessible, and comprehensive health services.

Acknowledging the history of collaboration, Dr. Prah mentioned that Blessed Home Ghana-Holland has been sending medical students from Holland to undertake internships and clinical management at the hospital. He thanked them for their ongoing partnership and hoped for continued collaboration in the future.

The director also commended the Winneba-Charlottesville Sister City Programme for their unwavering support over the past 12 years since signing the .

Dr. Prah cited the recent donation by Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad (CARS) as an example of the many gestures the hospital has received, expressing gratitude to the donors.

However, Dr. Prah highlighted some challenges faced by the hospital, including the need for the replacement of old equipment and tools, difficulties in paying utilities due to insufficient tariffs, staff attitude, and a shortage of nurses.

He appealed for ongoing support to address these challenges and enhance the hospital's ability to provide quality healthcare services to the community.
