Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), has delivered four brand new cars to managers of the Scheme in key districts of the Volta Region, namely Agotime-Ziope, South Dayi, Ketu North, and Kpando.
The keys to the NHIA-branded vehicles were handed over to the managers of the Scheme in the presence of Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa.
Dr. Okoe Boye emphasized that the purpose of this initiative is to enhance the functionality of the health insurance scheme, enabling staff in these districts to deliver timely and quality services.
Dr. Okoe Boye urged district management to ensure proper maintenance and usage of the vehicles for their intended purposes, aiming to streamline the provision of healthcare services.
Expressing gratitude for the gesture, Dr. Letsa commended the CEO and expressed optimism that the newly acquired vehicles would facilitate the day-to-day operations of the districts.
He further pledged his office's support to NHIA for the successful execution of its mandate, ultimately benefiting the people.
Madam Joyce Adzoa Todze, the Kpando District Manager of the Scheme, conveyed her appreciation to the government for the support.
She emphasized that the vehicles would significantly contribute to community monitoring and mobilization efforts, aiding in the registration of more individuals into the Health Insurance Scheme.
