In his opening remarks, the Head of Department, Dr Anthony Dah, underscored the importance of unity and teamwork in delivering quality maternal and reproductive healthcare services.

The programme featured an interactive open forum during which staff shared experiences, challenges and recommendations aimed at fostering a more supportive and productive work environment.

Participants also took part in team-bonding activities, including a communal meal and the “Who Knows OBGY Best?” quiz competition, which tested their knowledge of the department, its history and the broader culture of Ho Teaching Hospital.

The durbar included an appreciation segment where staff recognised colleagues whose dedication, support and professionalism have positively impacted the department.

Chairman of the event and Health Service Administrator of the Department, Mr Justice Kwame-Kumah, commended staff for their commitment and resilience and encouraged them to maintain teamwork and high standards of patient-centred care.

Pharm. Belinda Atsunyo reminded staff of the importance of adhering to standard operating procedures regarding drug prescription and handling.

Senior Administrative Manager (Communications), Miss Adeline Mawusi Yibor-Black, delivered a presentation on therapeutic communication, data privacy, professional ethics, informed consent and the need for full disclosure of procedures in healthcare delivery.

The event also recognised outstanding staff members, celebrated colleagues who achieved significant personal milestones and paid tribute to retirees for their years of service. Special appreciation messages were delivered to acknowledge the contributions of individuals and teams across the Sub-BMC.
