Ga Mantse survives vehicle accident in Oti Region; all passengers safe

The Office of the Ga Mantse has confirmed that His Royal Majesty, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, was involved in a vehicle accident on Tuesday evening, 17th February 2026, while returning to Accra from an urgent mission in the Oti Region.

According to a statement issued by the King’s office, all passengers, including aides, were safely evacuated with the assistance of the Police.

They underwent medical checks in Accra and were discharged in stable condition. Continuous monitoring indicates that everyone involved is making a good recovery.

The Ga Mantse expressed gratitude to the evacuation team, aides, and members of the public who sent prayers and well wishes following the incident. The statement added that all those affected are expected to resume their normal duties very soon.

The Office of the Ga Mantse reassured the public that the King remains in good health and commended the swift response that ensured the safety of all passengers.
