Afua Asantewaa, the event organizer who recently attempted to break the Guinness Record for the longest singing marathon, has extended her support to Chef Abdul-Razak Failatu in .

Chef Failatu is currently on a mission to break the Guinness Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

Chef Failatu aims to achieve an impressive 120 hours of continuous cooking, surpassing the existing record of 119 hours and 57 minutes held by Irish Chef Alan Fisher.

Afua Asantewaa, accompanied by her husband, visited Chef Failatu to express solidarity and witness the culinary feat.

Having recently concluded her singing marathon attempt, Asantewaa understands the challenges associated with breaking world records and wanted to show her support for Chef Failatu's endeavour. During the visit, they also had the opportunity to taste Chef Failatu's culinary creations along with others present at the venue.

Speaking about her decision to support Chef Failatu, Afua Asantewaa emphasized the mental, physical, and psychological challenges faced by record-breakers: “She is going through a lot, psychologically, mentally, physically – you have no idea. All this she is seeing is mind-blowing. She does not understand what is happening but all she knows is that she needs to be focused.”

Asantewaa acknowledged the determination and commitment displayed by Chef Failatu, highlighting the immense support from Ghanaians as a motivation for breaking records. Despite Chef Failatu's limited understanding of the events, Asantewaa believes that the collective encouragement serves as a driving force to achieve the goal and set a new record.

Chef Abdul-Razak Failatu commenced her marathon cooking session at midnight on January 1, 2024, and has completed 90 hours as she strives to set a new benchmark for culinary endurance.

Ghanaians continue to rally behind her, recognizing the significance of her effort in representing the country on the global stage.

The final hours of Chef Failatu's cooking marathon will be awaited with anticipation and celebration, reflecting the spirit of determination and achievement.
